They claim to have the best room rates, but officials at one hotel chain have a deal for you, if you find something cheaper.
Starting today, the IHG Group, which is the parent company of Holiday Inn, promises to give you a free night's stay if you find a cheaper room rate on a competing hotel's website.
However, according to USA Today, it's not easy to qualify for a free night.
First, you have a book a room on an IHG hotel site, then find a lower rate on a competing website, within 24 hours of your reservation.
You also have to use the competing website's "Best Available Rate" search, and book the lowest hotel room rate found on that search.
The lower rate has to be for the exact, same type of accommodations, including the same dates, same length of stay, the same number of travelers, and the same bed size.
