Parents of Kentucky public school students now have another way to check their child's grades and attendance information.

Kentucky Department of Education officials say the Campus Mobile Portal app is now available for free through Apple's App Store.

Officials say the app will allow parents and students to access grades, attendance, and schedule information virtually anywhere.

The app also has a daily planner, to help students keep up with their assignments and their class schedule.

The attendance section of the app will provide detailed information about absences and tardies.

Kentucky Department of Education officials call the Campus Mobile Portal app the first in a series of fully-integrated, easy-to-use mobile learning tools.
