Each week Amber Philpott introduces us to a Central Kentucky child waiting to be matched with a mentor.
This month she's focusing on the success those matches can make in a child's life.
Reading wasn't something nine-year-old Jayron enjoyed until he met his big brother two years ago.
He has changed in other ways as well.
Jayron and his big brother James Maupin meet each week at school.
They hang out, do school work and then the fun begins, with a game of basketball.
And Jayron admits on the court he doesn't take it easy on his big brother.
Despite sometimes losing to a nine year old, James doesn't mind, its time for him well spent.
