Three dead and one critically injured in Louisville shooting
Updated: 6:31 PM - A shooting in South Louisville leaves three dead and one injured.
Cancer touches everyone. Whether it be a family member, a friend or even yourself most everyone has had to deal with it. As many people know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Many organizations (including athletic teams) have spent the last month raising money (and awareness) to help support the cause.
Now it is my turn to help. Actually, it is my turn to let someone else do the work and then I will sponsor her. WYMT Reporter Dara Rees has been personally touched by Cancer. Her mom died 3 years ago from Breast Cancer. Now she is doing her best to fight the disease. She will be participating in a 3-Day walk in Atlanta. Participants walk 60 miles in 3 days raising awareness and money for research and treatment.
Now here's where football comes in. I am going to donate 7 cents for every point scored by a winning Mountain football team this Friday. 7 cents doesn't sound like much, but if my math is correct that will be somewhere over $50. You can help out as well using the same principle. Make a pledge to donate so much money for a certain type of accomplishment.
For example... $1 a point that your favorite High School team scores. 10 cents per yard of rushing by your son. $5 for every touchdown scored. So on and so forth. It will add a little bit of excitement to the game and maybe, just maybe, will help find a cure. That means a lot.
I know that one football team already has something incredible planned for next week. You'll hear more about that on WYMT on Tuesday. But for now, we would love your support. Follow the link below.
Thank you, and God Bless.
