Everybody loves board games. Or is that just me? This topsy-turvey year of High School basketball in the Mountains makes no sense. The more I thought about it, the more it reminded me of the board game "Sorry". You remember that game don't you? You tried to make it around the board and back to your home without someone landing on you and sending you back to the start.
Well this year, no one is getting their pieces safely back home. Check it out...
Boys
Shelby Valley lost to Knott Central who lost to South Laurel who lost to Corbin who lost to Knox Central who lost to Clay County. Knott Central has also beaten Hazard and Letcher Central.
Girls
Johnson Central lost to Breathitt County who lost to Clay County but beat Letcher Central who beat Harlan County who beat South Laurel. Pike Central beat Johnson Central but lost to Paintsville.
The moral of the story, board games are fun! Oh, and this year will be harder than ever to seperate the wheat from the shaft. In time the cream will rise to the top. And I should stop using lame cliches.
In the future look for "Monopoly: The Mountain Sports edition".
