The boys side of the All "A" State Tournament brought tons of amazing moments that will be talked about for a long time. Here are the sights and sounds of the 2009 Boys All "A" State Tournament.

On to the men's side of the All "A"; three mountain teams entered. Pineville made it to the quarterfinals before losing. Hazard advanced to the semi-finals before losing to Bardstown and Shelby Valley hung on for the All "A" State Championship win defeating Bardstown on Sunday afternoon.

Here is a look back at the sights and sounds on the men's side of the All "A" to the song Home Grown.

Don't you think the all the atheltics is history about Pikeville High they haven't been able to win one game in the past two years in district games and we all know the football team is no longer a threat in the state. Someone should clean house at that school before they don't have any sports teams. Poor coaching will continue to kill the programs.

Why do we never see the coverage of Shelby Valley. They are an awesome team and yet you do not ever show coverage of them. All we see is the schools around Lexington never someone from the eastern part of KY.....I find this to be very disapointing.

I was and am very disappointed with the lack of interest that has been shown to Shelby Valley. These young men have gone above and beyond and have worked so hard to accomplish things that no other team in this area ever has and the lack of coverage and recognition by the media is appalling. I honestly believe had it been any other school in this area besides Valley that won that championship title, we would still be seeing highlights and hearing it play by play all over again. Give Shelby Valley the respect and recognition that they have earned. Contrary to popular belief, you will not choke if you say a few good words about them.

It's really upsetting that you can not provide better coverage on Shelby Valley. They are ranked 4th in the state, their All "A" champs, and have one of the best players in the state! Is it because they are from the eastern part of the state? Elijah will be making a run a Mr. Basketball next year, do you think you can fit them in your schedule?

I was very disappointed in the lack of interest in reporting on the All "A" Champs "Shelby Valley Wildcats". There was no stats reported, no game film, no MVP or All tournament list.

Derek and Brian... Your coverage was great.. I especially liked the montages...Anytime you can break down the excitement into 3 or four minutes montages is a good thing... especially for someone like me who does not listen as intently all the time... Keep up the good work....

Please reconize or bands and cheerleaders more on camera. THEY WORK HARD AS WELL!!! We are not able to go to very many games and look foward to maybe seeing them on camera, BUT NEVER DO!!!. Instead of showing the backs of player during time outs PLEASE SHOW US OUR CHEERLEADERS AND BAND MEMBERS. The backside of players are not what we are interested in. Your sports team does a great job, but again please reconize all the schools support teamm cheerleaders, bands members and fans!!!

I appreciate WYMT's coverage of the final, even though there were technical problems towards the end of the broadcast that made it difficult to understand. A lot of the interview with the Valley's coach was lost. On the other hand, I tuned in to WYMT's 11:00 news show Sunday night to see some of the highlights from the finals, and imagine by surprise when there were none. Nope, not a scrap of footage, nor nary a comment except for the few words that went, "and in the boy's all-a final, it was Shelby Valley over Bardstown, 58-55. The girl's final, won by a Lexington school, was well covered, with highlights and all. Why was the boy's final overlooked? Seems suspicious, after all, WKYT had what, at least six hours or so to get some footage, didn't they? Remember, when WYMT picks up their news, we are a part of their audience, and would like to see some love from 27, which is,after all, a sister station. Or is that a wicked step sister station, and are we a mountain Cinderella?
