The state baseball tournament has not gone all that well for WYMT coverage area teams since the Paintsville Tigers won it all in 1990. I took a look back at the history of the tournament and how this year could be a different story.

Both teams lost in the first round. Lawrence County lost 3-2 in 10 innings to Owensboro and South Laurel lost 16-5 in five inning to Bullitt East.
