The High School Football Playoffs are here.  Some teams have limped in while others come in on a roll.  So let’s take a look at a couple of the teams that enter on a streak.

10 in a row: (obviously, these are the undefeated teams)
Prestonsburg – They had some questions before the year began.  Now they seem to have all the answers.
Somerset – All right, how many of you thought the Briar Jumpers would go undefeated… before the season began.
Lawrence County – from 0-11 to 10-0.  What more do you need to say?

9 in a row:
Bell County – after a season opening loss to Alcoa, TN the Bobcats have responded by rolling off 9 straight wins.  Not to sound like a broken record, but their defense has been extremely impressive.  In 7 of their wins they held their opponents to 7 or less points.

6 in a row:
Johnson Central – The Golden Eagles are flying high after their victory over Belfry.  JCHS started the season 0-4 before they got things going.  Now they have a lot of momentum heading forward.

5 in a row:
Allen Central – The Rebels have been scoring in bunches at the end of the season averaging 46 points per game over their 5 game winning streak.

4 in a row:
Letcher Central – The Cougars enter the playoffs winners of 4 straight.  The last 3 have been by 16 or more.
Breathitt County – After winning their season opener, the Bobcats dropped 5 straight.  Now they have put together a game winning streak (including a forfeit win) and will try to get back to form for a deep playoff push.
Pulaski County – The Maroons have been on a roll as of late, winners in 7 of their last 8.  Their only loss was by 1 to Barren County.  They seem to have things figured out.

Make sure to get out and support your local teams.
