The Cats have a big game this weekend against Vanderbilt. For a preview, we turn to former UK Kicker J.J. Housley.

How important is this game, you ask?  Well, the Cats need one more win to become bowl eligible.  Their final two games of the season after Vanderbilt are at Georgia and at home against Tennessee.  It's not that UK will lose those games, but you know that they will be the underdogs going in.  So this game could determine if the Cats keep their streak of Bowl games alive.

Do the players think in these terms?  Most of them will tell you no.  They only look one game ahead at a time.  But J.J. says that's not true.  (And from working with a D-1 football program for 2 years, I would tell you the same thing.)
