Softball regionals wrapped up yesterday and the first round match-ups are set. Here is what you can expect for first round match-ups on Friday June 11th.

Lawrence County, the champs out of the 15th region, will meet up with 8th region champs, Shelby County @ 9am. This will be the first match-up between the two this season.

The 13th region champs North Laurel will face 4th region champs Allen County-Scottsville later in the day at 10:45am. These two met up twice earlier this season in the Capital City Showcase back on April 17th. Allen County-Scottsville was victorious in both games 11-0 and 2-0.

The final first round match-up is between the 12th region champs Somerset and 14th region champ Jenkins. This game pits two teams who are both competing in state for the first time in the schools' history. Somerset won their first regional title by defeating East Jessamine 7-3, and Jenkins defeated Estill County 8-2 to win their first ever regional title. These two team have yet to face each other this season.
