Perry County cleaning up after flashing flood
Posted: 6:00 PM - Heavy rains caused major problems in the Perry County community of Big Creek, after flash flooding swept away cars and flooded an elementary school.
Here is day four (Wednesday), in sports at WYMT.
2:30pm - Back in the office and working on the 6pm and Prep Zone, because we tape the Prep Zone on Wednesday nights. The reason for that is because there are really no games on Wednesday night because of Church so it allows us to not miss a game
5:18pm - Just fnished up everything for the 6pm newscast. Now turning my attention to the Prep Zone show which we will tape tonight at 8pm.
6:20pm - Went on the set to do the 6pm sports
6:36pm -Had our post news meeting and then went right back in to the sports office to put the finishing touches on the Prep Zone show, because taping is going to begin at 8pm
8:02pm - Finished everything for the Prep Zone show and got on set to tape the show with Josh McKinney. Today was his first time doing a studio show for WYMT. He did a really good job. He's got a lot of telent and when he gets more comfortable with everything, he will be great!
8:41- pm Got off set and finally got something to eat for the first time all day.
9:15pm - Finally got back from getting food, there was a long wait, and finally getting a chance to start working on the 11pm. The majority of the 11pm I already knew what we were going ro run. With the All "A" state tournament going on and with #23 UPike taking on Cumberlands Thursday, it wasn't too hard figuring out what was going to run for the 11pm.
10:48pm - Finally got done putting everything together for the 11pm sportscasts. I could now focus on my taping for the morning show.
11:36pm - Done with the post news meeting. And getting ready to tape sports for the morning show.
12:30am - After taping sports for the morning, I began to work on posting articles and videos to the web.
2am - Literally just finishing this blog for the day and about to head home. Wednesday is one of my few "early nights" of the week.
Talk to you guys tomorrow!
