Beyond the Box Scores

Americans don't care about soccer? I beg to differ.

People say soccer is not big in this country, but what would happen just four minutes later, and the celebrations that would follow, would prove differently.

The chances of the United States advancing out of Group G, or the 'Group of Death' as it is being called, was slim entering the 2014 FIFA World Cup. With Portugal and Germany on deck, the U.S. had to focus on Ghana, the same country that had knocked the Americans out of the previous teo World Cups.

It took a mere 34 seconds for the United States to net its first goal, and it held the lead for nearly 81 minutes before Andre Ayew scored the equalizer in the 82nd minute.

People say soccer is not big in this country, but what would happen just four minutes later, and the celebrations that would follow, would prove differently.

I ancourage anyone to watch this video and argue people aren't behind this team and aren't glued to their televisions watching the World Cup.
