Ousted founder of Men's Wearhouse fights back
27 mins ago - George Zimmer, the ousted founder and executive chairman of Men's Wearhouse, says Wednesday he was dismissed after he and the company's board disagreed about how it should look.
As some of you may or may not know, before I started here at WYMT, I spent four years at ESPN.
Now what most of you do not know is that while there, I was mentored by a then, new ESPN anchor by the name of Mike Hill. He began his stint at ESPN mostly on ESPNews, but now you can find him doing anything from SportsCenter to NFL Live to doing shows on ESPN Radio.
Mike also took the time out to help teach me some of the basics of anchoring and other things along those lines. Since being here at WYMT, I have watched him grow as an anchor as well, and each and every day I watch him, I gain more and more respect as to what he can do. To this day, he still plays a part in mentoring me and making me into a better person and an better anchor.
So, I wanted to take this time to share something I have found to be a very entertaining segment on ESPN's youtube and facebook page, called "Ball Sides of the Ball" with Mike Hill and Jay Harris.
