Hi WYMT Sports Fans.

      My name is Mike Silverman and I am the newest member of the WYMT sports team.  I have now been here a little over a month and felt it was a good time to introduce myself on our sports blog.  I have met tons of great people from all over our coverage area so far and look forward to meeting many more.  

      I have had so much fun jumping into the great sports scene we have in the mountains.  The football has been a blast to cover and I expect it to get even better with playoffs around the corner  I know myself, Jeff, Derek and Mackenzie are also very excited about basketball season starting up.

      I am orginally from Ann Arbor, Michigan but have lived all over the place the last few years.  Since 2005 I have lived in not only Michigan, but Illinois, Connecticut, New York and Florida.  I am happy and excited that I now can add Kentucky to that list.

      Feel free to come say hi if you see me at a game or just out and about as I am always looking to make new friends.  I look forward to my time here in Eastern Kentucky and I will do everything I can to bring the best sports coverage to WYMT.
