Perry County cleaning up after flashing flood
32 mins ago - Heavy rains caused major problems in the Perry County community of Big Creek, after flash flooding swept away cars and flooded an elementary school.
Today, I caught up with Corbin's Hunter Grubb as we discussed the Corbin/Bell game, their move to Class 3A, and the Redhounds' winning streak at home against WYMT coverage area teams.
1. The Corbin Redhounds and the Bell County Bobcats will face off for the first time since the 2006 season. Talk about the matchup?
2. Once again, you guys lose another 1,000 yard rusher, but like every season, there is someone waiting in the wings. This season it’s Brady Foley. Talk about Brady and what he can bring to this team?
3. For years, the Redhounds has been known to have a dominant rushing attack. But this season you guys will be able to go to the air with Ty Cobb under center this season. Last year, he stepped up after filling in for Roman Mitchell. Talk about Ty’s game. What are his strengths?
4. Corbin’s defense was hit and miss at times last season, but overall it was very solid, and you were second on the team in interceptions last season. What will the defense have to do this year to be even better than it was last season?
5. This season, the team moves up from Class 2A to Class 3A. How do you think the Redhounds will handle the adjustment?
6. In the last 11 seasons, Corbin has won 10 or more games in a season. Last year, the team finished with 11. Is difficult living up to the expectations of winning all the time, or do you think it’s more of an intimidation factor when you play other teams?
7. You haven’t lost to a WYMT coverage area team at home since the Bell County game in 2006. How much of an advantage is home field for the Redhounds?
