Hello again everyone!

Just got back from the softball state tournament and unpacked.  What a great experience!  A big congratulations goes out to all of the coverage area teams that made it to Owensboro this season.  It takes a lot of hard work and determination to get there and it should be celebrated.  Also, it was wonderful to get to meet some of you and watch your tournament runs!

I know our region teams weren't able to come away with the title, but there were some great stories along the way...

Magoffin County made the school's first appearance at the softball state tournament...congrats to the Lady Hornets and good luck to all of the graduating seniors!  I think you'll realize how special that moment is later in life for sure.

North Laurel made another appearance at state...to the Lady Jags I had the pleasure of meeting before they left...good luck at the next level or next year at North!

Letcher County stuck it out at state and played two tough games.  Congrats girls and good luck getting back there next year!

The past few days were so much fun covering the tournament...I hope the friendships and bonds the teams formed will always stay strong.
