It has been a messy day here in eastern KY. The snow is really piling up and it will continue for a few more hours!
Here's a quick update!
The first winter storm watch for this season has arrived and just like all the rest I have dealt with... it's interesting!
Our significant snow chances keep growing every single time I look at the model data.
I was out most of the day... so I am behind here at the station!
I am trying to block the rest of the week out of my mind and focus on the weekend. Unfortunately, there's plenty of week left!
NOOOO... Not really... I think my heart is still hung up on winter. But... we have yet to see a good round of wintry weather.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for our area... and I have a first call for this system!
A system is on the way and I think it might actually have some wintry potential.

After looking over data these past few days it looks as if our dreams of a White Christmas are just that!
The questions of whether we'll see a white Christmas or not is on the minds of many. It's still too early for a solid forecast... but I don't care to speculate!
WYMT's newsroom was flooded with calls on Sunday evening all saying something similar about a light in the sky! I might just know what that was.
