Ky. to receive $6 million from online gambling case
Posted: 06/19/2013 - Gov. Steve Beshear says Kentucky will receive a settlement of more than $6 million from a case involving online gambling.
With little to talk about I will be as brief as possible. I am going to focus on a negative in the forecast for Wednesday. So far it looks like it will remain dry... but these tricky cold fronts can and will throw moisture in our direction. It does look weak, but some times these little devils can be deceiving.

As the front passes thru KY it might fire off an isolated sprinkle, but that should be about it! Temps will take another hit and that means we'll see highs dip into the 70s again! The pre-frontal southerly flow will push temps into the 80s for Wednesday. That won't last forever though... the cooler stuff will come rolling our way on Thursday. It won't be terrible... just refeshing.
I do want to warn you that this isn't the end of the heat. I was digging through some data the other day and I ran across some interesting dates for 90 degrees. The following graphic reveals the latest date... that I could find... for 90 degree readings at two of the most reliable observation points.

Obviously, there is still plenty of time. Now these were extreme cases. Especially the October date in London. I just wanted you guys to see that the real heat can stick around for a while. The reason that I even bring this up is because our early week forecast for next week is looking pretty hot again. We'll be flirting with 90!
