Watching Hermine... Well... The Remnants

Posted: Wed 10:27 PM, Sep 08, 2010

Hermine could come pay us a visit later this week and hang around for the weekend.

The signs that I trust most have this system rolling in here by late Friday night and into Saturday. Some of the other data that I trust has this system making its way into Kentucky and then dissipating. There will stilll be rain in the area, but it looks like Hermine's biggest slug of moisture won't have a huge impact... if you go by that data!

The moisture keeps getting closer. I think that we'll begin seeing the rains by late Friday night/EARLY Saturday morning. Once all of the elements come together it stays pretty soggy around here. It might not rain every single second of Saturday... but it will probably rain enough that it will feel that way! It won't be the non-stop heavy stuff that we see... but it will be the pesky stuff that sticks around and makes a mess of everything!

We'll once again be watching the tropics for more development.

This is Igor!

It's still early, but we'll need to wait and see what happens here. I have been waiting for a more southerly track with these past few storms and it looks like we have one. This might have potential to stay out there even longer and keep eyes on the tropics for a little while longer. Things can change with the blink of an eye with these storms.
