The rain chances aren't off the charts, but we do have them coming our way very soon. It has been a pretty uneventful week here in eastern KY. It looks like there will be a small shift in the weather this week and this will allow for some showers to come rolling our way.
It all plays out like this...

The front you see north of KY has been hanging out there for a couple of days. There really hasn't been any change to force it one way or the other. We have been stuck in what is known as zonal flow. Which pretty much means that everything is flowing west to east. No major dips in the jet stream that would allow the cooler air to dip down from Canada or any big punch of warm air.
For Example...

I have highlighted how the flow is rolling in the atmosphere. There is very little variation in temps because of the flow. Not much going on while this set-up is hanging around. Though one batch of showers will likely roll in on this path later in the week!
