Brodway live announces new season
Posted: 11:07 PM - A little bit of Broadway came to downtown Lexington tonight.
No… the reunion won’t be the return of Chas Gayheart and Jim Freeman to the mornings! Though I sure do miss those two cats. The reunion will be a relationship that has been lost for a couple of weeks. Now the burning desire to restore their love is here. (Am I writing a romance novel or a weather blog?)
For roughly about two weeks we have avoided the combination of heat & humidity. Just when it looked like the humidity was about to reunite with its old friend… WHAM… it was pushed back to the south along with the higher temperatures. Now the heat has found the way back to Kentucky and the humidity is lurking in the darkness… waiting for the perfect time to ambush all of us! The problem here has got to be the fact that this 85-90 degree heat we have seen this week is very uncomfortable. So just be ready for more of this and eventually the higher humidity.
What about Fay?
The question of the day is Fay! I have watched as the NHC has pushed this storm further south over the last few days. One of the models has Fay turn all the way around and meander in the Gulf before riding up the east coast. So what I am to do now? The only thing I can say is what I said yesterday… Let’s wait and see what Fay does once she re-enters the Atlantic. I remember back when Jeanne was out in the Atlantic and basically sitting in one spot for days before the steering winds were strong enough to send her towards the Florida East Cost.
With this path being pushed closer and closer to the Gulf I am beginning to wonder if and when we could see some of the beneficial rains from Fay. Again, let’s see what she does after heading over the Atlantic again!
