Motorists paying about the same as last year for gas
19 mins ago - A holiday weekend doesn't always mean higher gas prices. That's according to Gregg Laskoski, who's a senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy.com.
Showers have moved into the region. Some of the radar returns are looking rather impressive out of this system. If you think these look impressive... wait until you see the radar by Saturday. The only reason I say that is because we could end up with some snow shower activity around here late!

Remember the blue is snow! This is Saturday evening.

Here we are heading into Sunday moring and notice the snow shower activity is working its way across the region.

By this point we are seeing some of the moisture fall a part. I was afraid this would happen... and this will keep any totals down. I never thought that they would be huge or anything, but I do see them trying to add up to some small total in the higher elevations. I am thinking around a half inch for some of those high spots.

There you have it.... I am leaning towards this map above. It's pretty much what I posted earlier in the week. The only difference is the fact that this one covers the entire mountain range. Which is the most likely scenario!
Temps fall from around 55 degrees during the super early morning hours on Saturday... all the way down to the 40s during the afternoon when most of us will be doing our stirring around. The real cold part of this blast arrives on Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
If I need to update I will do so this weekend!
