As the weak front went blasting across Kentucky it grabbed a little moisture than I thought possible! Yeah, I will admit it here, the moisture surprised me! The whole set-up did not. I have dealt with too many of these to really count them out completely. That is the reason I have kept saying at least flurries in the forecast each time I have referred to this period. Just trying to be honest with you guys and that honesty is the surprise from the moisture.
I hadn't seen anything that really impressed me with a huge load of moisture making it our way. Now here I am getting prepared for a nice little round of snow, especially, for the higher elevations. As for the rest of us, this looks to be a dusting event or maybe slightly better. The necessary ingredients are here this time.
Road conditions should be a bit slippery on Friday morning. For any and all delays or cancellations check out SnoGo. I always check it to see if WYMT has decided not to bring its employees in, but I am always here! You know it is a great feeling to have access to the SnoGo computer... haha... I remember always wanting to call school off and now I get the chance to at least insert it into the computer.
After reviewing everything... this looks to be most likely the end result for us! Some may actually see up to 3 inches of snow on the highest points.

I'll update you more on the weekend milder temperatures on Friday.
BIG NEWS!!!!! It's coming next week... so be sure to come back and check it out!
Make sure if you get any snow accumulation you come right here and report the amount. You can always email me at jim.caldwell@wymtnews.com especially if you have any pics you'd like to see on the air or right here in this blog!
This literally cam in right after I pressed save and post. Here's the official statement from the NWS
