Ky. to receive $6 million from online gambling case
Posted: 11:53 PM - Gov. Steve Beshear says Kentucky will receive a settlement of more than $6 million from a case involving online gambling.
The Thanksgiving Holiday is here and I think you'll like the weather forecast. My opinion hasn't really changed at all here in the last few days. So I'll reword some of the things I have mentioned in the past few days.
Thanksgiving Day: A gorgeous day will be experienced all across Kentucky. Highs around 50 degrees or even better than that. So if you want to take the kids out in the yard for a game of football or anything like that... feel free to get right on that and enjoy what Mother Nature is giving you. Just remember while you are eating that Turkey that the old man here will be right here in the Sky Alert Weather Center crunching numbers and forecasting weather. Feel sorry for me yet? There will not be a 4pm news that day Just a 6pm and 11pm. I haven't seen the program schedule for that day, but I am sure if WKYT is on at 5 & 5:30pm we will be carrying them as usual.
Does that note above look familiar? It should I just copied and pasted it from my last post.. that's how confident or lazy I am tonight. I feel like I have already eaten 3 pounds of turkey and I need a nap!
What I really want to concentrate on is the fun stuff that keeps looking more interesting for the end of the weekend. What could that be you wonder?!?! That just so happens to be some much colder air and some moisture that streams our way. We all know what happens when these two get together... or have we forgotten so soon? That's when we get snow! Here I go again... letting the old "S" word go flying from my mouth and my typing fingers (Which by the way only includes like 5 fingers total... I never learned to type the right way.... sad I know) to this blog!
Models have been a little jumpy when trying to nail down this pattern and I have been a little jumpy with them. At least when I refer to the more interesting stuff in the forecast I have been a little hesitant. So here's a little bit of info!

Moisture is in place in this image and the cold air is here too! Notice the isobars (solid black lines) are getting tighter in western Kentucky. That indicates winds are getting stronger. We could be in for a decent round of wintry precip. That's all I'll say about it for now. More updates will follow... along with my long-term winter forecast. That comes out on Thursday right here on wymtnews.com
