Missing Kentucky man found
Posted: 05/25/2013 - Some good news tonight for the family of a Kentucky man that's been missing for more than two weeks.
I was actually shocked to see how quickly the snow had accumulated on the grass and roads! The roads really surprised me!!!!
After seeing how quickly this has accumulated one would tend to up the totals, but I am going to stick with what I posted last night... 1"-4" and that 4" stuff will likely be more common on the highest elevations. Every county in our coverage area was added to the Winter Weather Advisory that runs through 6:00am.
As I mentioned before... this overall system had all kinds of moisture to work with. It had so much that it sparked Flash Flood Warnings for some. If all of this moisture had fallen into cold air... well... we'd be digging out through the weekend and early next week. As we know, this was not the case! There will be a ton of traffic issues on Friday morning so please be careful while travelling around the mountains.
The rest of the forecast beginning Friday afternoon will become a little easier to deal with. Highs only in the 40s and fairly dry!
Please submit any and all photos you can. I'll try to post or throw them up on the air.
I'll be posting updates if needed!
