Beverage group: 18 mayors wrong on sugary drinks
Posted: 06/18/2013 - The American Beverage Association says efforts by the mayors of 18 cities to stop food stamps from being used to buy sugary drinks won't make the nation healthier.
This is a pretty complicated system... complicated in the fact that 20 miles means a lot! The current Warning/Advisory set-up looks fine to me. The areas higlighted are exactly who will likely see the extended period of the wintry mess. SO what the heck is going on... is that your question? lol
I know you are probably thinking... "How in the world could this happen after a 60 degree day?" I often question weather myself when these situations arise. That warm air is quickly being replaced by some much colder air at the surface. BUT ONLY AT THE SURFACE! Remember what you learned in 1st grade science class... Cold air is heavier than warm air. When cold air moves into a region it digs right into to the present airmass. This is the case for this weather situation. This fairly simple image below describes it pretty good.

The biggest question for many of you is what will I get? Little if any snowfall for most people south of I-64. Wait a second... that's all of us!!!! Well all of us that read it from our coverage area. Sure I think there will be some snow... just not as much as up north. In places closer to Virginia I think your wintry weather issues won't be very wintry at all. Though if you migrate a few miles north it all changes. Ice is the biggest concern that I have! Here's what we are looking at as far as ice is concerned.

Most will fall in the .10 to possibly even .25
I'll try to keep you updated through the overnight period. I'll likely be up watching this system from home.
Almost forgot about the actual advisory information. Different counties have different expiration times so just find your county in the list below.
