US gas prices up 11 cents over past 2 weeks
Posted: 3:41 PM - The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 11 cents over the past two weeks.
A warm front has brought some much warmer air to eastern Kentucky to end the week. Highs will climb to near 70 degrees on Saturday. I had originally thought that our next chance of rain would arrive on Saturday afternoon. I have bumped that out of my forecast and replaced it with mostly cloudy skies. Winds will really pick up too. Gusts will be anywhere from 30 to 40 MPH.
A cold front arrives on Sunday morning. This front will ignite showers and possibly even some thunderstorms. Temps will take a hit, but you have to realize that when you take a bite out of temps around 70... it has to be a big bite to really get the chilly air in place. The daytime high forecast I have prepared really isn't that cold for Sunday. It looks like highs will be near the 50 degree mark.
All this holiday work is finally paying off for me... I am off beginning at midnight tonight and I won't be back until after the New Year. Well in this business nothing is ever set in stone... so barring a Blizzard. I'll see you in 2009! Posts may be hit and miss next week, but keep checking back here for the latest updates. If our New Year's system materializes I'll have updates!
