Travis Gaines attends graduation ceremony with classmates
Updated: 10:53 PM - A Lexington teen, who was paralyzed after a diving incident while on spring break in April, attends his high school graduation ceremony.
I took a little vacation to the big city of Washington D.C. it was my third visit to the city and I still haven't seen everything that I wanted to see. There is just too much there for one person to take in over the matter of a few days. If you have never been I encourage you to find a way to get there and just explore. I would post pictures, but I never take a camera anywhere. Sure I have one in my phone, but I never even think about it until the picture moment has passed. Fun story: On one of the last days I was there we were driving around (which by the way is something many people do very little of there... it is always walk walk walk and I am not into that) the vice president's house. When All of a sudden uniformed secret service starting blocking traffic near the gate to the compound. A few minutes later here comes a few motorcycles, Tahoes, and two Cadillac Limos... just a full motorcade. They just shoot right on by and into the gate. Couldn't see who it was... but I will tell you it was awesome. The locals there are used to it, but I was excited. Anways...
A flood watch will begin at 7am Tuesday morning and last through the same time Wednesday morning for nearly all of our coverage area. We've already picked up a decent amount of rain and now with another pretty potent low moving towards Kentucky... we'll be in for some issues. The next slug of moisture could bring anywhere between 1-3 inches of rainfall to our region. You add that on top of the saturated ground that we have in place and you have some issues. So that is what has sparked our Flood Watch.
When this system pulls out of the region I see some moisture trying to change over to the wintry stuff by Thursday. It should be light in nature, but it will still be something to watch. I am going to be a little honest here... I haven't looked at anything other than my myspace & facebook accounts on a regular basis over the last week. The only reason I did that was I because I used my cell phone. So I am goingto have to knock some dirt off and try to watch how these models are trending before I build my confidence back up again.
It's good to be back!
