For those of you that have mentioned accuweather.com and the prediction they are showing over there... I have checked it out and watched some of the videos posted. I agree and I disagree. The track forecast they have doesn't show the other track that could develop and that would be the rainy one for the folks in Kentucky. Well... rain over to snow that is of course!
There are numerous possibilities that could come out of this and I jst want you to be aware of that and not get sucked in on the total snow forecast. I am not saying that isn't a possibility, I just want you to be prepared for anything that Mother Nature might throw our way!
I am going to put a track map together for the 4pm, 6pm, and 11pm weathercasts so you can see what could happen a little closer to home. I'll grab a copy of that and post it in the blog during my evening post!
What I have posted above is the GFS 6z run. It goes against what I have been saying about a westerly trend after a few runs. The low in question is positioned right over Florida. The other runs for this time period have been showing this over South Carolina.
This is the GEM (Canadian) and it has the low even farther out to sea. I'd love to tell you that I am an expert with the GEM, but I am not! I am not as familiar with the biases with this model as I am with some of the others. At least I am honest. :)
I will post snowfall accumulations in my evening post! It's still early so we'll just use them as purely speculation!!!!
