Perry County cleaning up after flashing flood
Posted: 6:00 PM - Heavy rains caused major problems in the Perry County community of Big Creek, after flash flooding swept away cars and flooded an elementary school.
It would be nice to sleep through this and not have to attempt to nail this one down. I am awake and I am ready to at least give you some scenarios. Remember, this thing is still wide open! Let's look at how the runs have changed throughout the week.
Here's the latest GFS for Monday evening. This is my trend watching point. We have watched this together all week long.

Thursday's Run

Wednesday's Run

What Has surprised me here has been the jog to the east. Traditionally, these systems make a run back towards the west. This could still happen, but it that was going to happen... I think it would have happened by now! There are still two days remaining before it gets developed. Anything is still possible! I am beginning to favor an easterly track that hugs the east coast and doesn't throw much moisture towards us. This low isn't even looking quite as strong as it once was either. Sure there will be wind and snow associated with this system... but maybe not as intense as it once was.
Here is my take on the tracks for now... I got lazy so I pulled a snapshot from our newscast rather than importing the file again. LOL But there it is my friends.
Less Likely: Rain changing to significant snow
More Likely: Katie bar the door kind of snow
Most Likely: Moderate to possibly heavy snow

The most easterly track is my best bet as of tonight. I'll give the data a few more runs before I jump on and court one data set to hot and heavy. For all of you folks that have been checking on CNN, The Weather Channel, Accuweather and all of those others. Don't get sucked in no matter what! I could have a better handle on this by Sunday!
Let me go a head and spill this tonight... THERE WILL BE NO POST ON SATURDAY.... I REPEAT THERE WILL BE NO POST ON SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!! As much as I love you guys... it's the lady friend's birthday weekend. So if I get caught posting I might get the boot... and where else am I going to find someone to put up with my XBOX 360 nights? However, if I see some significant change in the pattern I will update you on Saturday. Otherwise, my next post will be on Sunday!
