Beverage group: 18 mayors wrong on sugary drinks
Posted: 06/18/2013 - The American Beverage Association says efforts by the mayors of 18 cities to stop food stamps from being used to buy sugary drinks won't make the nation healthier.
As a matter of fact... I record "How I Met Your Mother" on my DVR every week. For the last few weeks I have recorded the show and each time I do I record SnoGo and the SkyAlert Weather Warning Icon in the upper right hand side of my TV. It only seems to happen on Mondays when I am recording shows. Oh well! By the way... I also watch NBC's Heroes
The snow showers are finished and they have really laid some impressive amounts in different parts of eastern Kentucky. I'll throw up some pics here and I will also review the snowfall totals. The wonderful folks at the NWS have handled this remarkably well! I am not sure if any of those wonderful people over there in Jackson ever browse by and read this blog... if so... you guys did great! Now we are going to borrow more of their information to post right here!

This photo was taken Feb.3,2009 on top of Pine Mountain in Bledsoe, KY. by Karrie Asher Bledsoe, KY.
Jaden here lives over in Mallie of Knott County and just had to know how much we had... 4" for Jaden!
Chad Conley found some Elk, near his Mousie home of Knott County, out and about in the snow!
This may look like an avergae old pic of some youngsters out in snow... it is not... Whitley,
Brent & Brett Bartley, are spending the week at their grandparents house in Pike County because
they do not have any power in Johnson County and can't go to school.
Some people like beauty shots of the snow... I like pic with objects in them. That way I can get a
true visual of what the snow was like out there. David sent this one in from Goose Creek in Neon, KY
It's nearly news time and I need to get the final touches ready for the forecast. I will have more
pics up later tonight! Plus we need to discuss the big warm-up that is on the way
C-Ya Bye
