Winter Is Back From Spring Break

After being gone for a little while.. Winter has returned and will likely pick up right where it left off!

I am sure many of you saw some snow shower activity flying around the mountains on Thursday. That was associated with the energy located on the back side of our latest system. It yanked on some much colder air and it delivered it right into the region. This is what we need to get used to!

Friday will most likely just be a cold day! I think highs will remain in the low to mid 30s.

On Saturday, the action begins to pick up again. Snow swings into Kentucky with a clipper system during the mid-morning hours on Saturday. It could bring some light accumulations. In the last post I said I would talk about accumulations in this post! I am a man of my word... most of the time... lol and here's what I am thinking. Just looking at how this system has kept its characteristics consistent all week long... it makes me feel like the data may have something. However, some of these models are not exactly walking the same track. Which is pretty normal... but one says that we could see some light snow and the other has two key pieces of energy that could combine for decent accumulations. I will say AGAIN that some light accumulation is very possible at the least. Time will only tell with the heavier stuff!

This is just an early thought for me! I could change my mind on Friday though... we'll see

Speaking of Friday... Come see us at the East KY Expo Center in Pikeville for the WYMT Home & Garden Show. I'll be there bright and early in the morning and again on Saturday morning. Hope to see you there... and if I do see you there make sure you tell me you read about it here in my blog and I will give you... a nice hand shake! haha

C-Ya Bye
