How About That?

There was rain, sleet, and snow showing up everywhere out there on Thursday afternoon. Truly, a wintry mess!

We are all going to see some of this mess! That's what it is... just a solid mess! After seeing this one in action and all the sleet associated with this system... I am going to have to up the totals! These totals are for sleet & snow TOTAL Accumulation! Not just for one or the other.

The rate that this stuff is coming down has been pretty heavy and it has been constant! I was actually a little impressed with the way the sleet began accumulating on the ground outside. This has the potential to dump a healthy dose of both sleet and snow. I am going to stretch this image a bit so it will look a little distorted!

There could even be some higher amounts in some isolated locations. I think this general 2-4" swath will cover most of you!

I'll have another update in the morning... I will be back in doing the AM weather!

C-Ya Bye

here in evarts of harlan county we have around a slushy inch. it is currently 1:02 AM and it is raining as of now. forecast is calling for a wintry mix, but as of now, a slushy inch. I envy you guys about fifty miles or so to our north who are posting around 3-4 inches. had it kept snowing, our area down here would see a more significant snowfall, but as of now, all rain. lol. Jim, good call on your snowfall amount, you nailed it. everyone keep posting. i am interested in how much E-SE KY actually see's by friday morning.
