Fallen Kentucky marine honored at memorial ceremony
Updated: 8:53 PM - A Kentucky marine killed in action during the Gulf War is now part of a memorial in his hometown of Versailles.
One thing I think most of us can agree on is the fact that this past winter was a rough one! Whether it was the snow and ice or the severe weather and high winds. We had our fair share of everything these last few months.
Spring is here and that leads to more chances for severe weather. So let's just get used to that making more appearances in the near future! There is actually some potential coming our way towards the middle of next week. It's still early... and that could slow down or speed up.
One thing that is looking more and more promising is the return of cooler air! I'm just wondering how cold it will be by the time it arrives. It could go through some modifications long before it ever crosses into Kentucky. Yet, I still feel like a pretty decent sool punch will come our way... which is not an unusual occurance! It is early in the Spring 2009 Season and we still have to work the winter out of the system.
The highs for the next few days will begin in the 50s and end up in the 60s and maybe even some 70s by mid week. That could also be one of the contributing factors to any storm chances!
