Tornado-ravaged Texas town to start recovery
Posted: 7:57 AM - Residents whose homes were torn apart or blown away by a North Texas deadly tornado will soon be allowed to return to retrieve what belongings may be left and start cleaning up.
As I mentioned in my last post, winter usually has at least one last hurrah after a really nice warm-up! I don't see the cold air giving up completely either. There is still plenty of cold air left in northern parts of this country and that could very well try to spill back into Kentucky in the not-so-distant future!
My initial hunch about this week was to go cooler if the trend had changed a little bit. Those cooler temps haven't shown up much in the latest runs. So now I am keeping things on the more seasonable side. However, I am not counting the colder push of air completely out of the picture for late this weekend. It may change to some degree... but right now I think some of us will hover very close to the frrezing mark early on Sunday morning.
The chances for showers & storms will still be there mid week this week though. I didn't forget about that! An area of low pressure with a trailing cold front will come swinging into Kentucky later this week. The storm itself has a lot going on overall! It is packing a pretty good punch from both wintry weather and severe weather. This arrives here on Wednesday.
When the front finally makes its way across Kentucky... I don't think that we'll be talking widespread-nonstop severe weather. I do think that any severe weather that we might see will be isolated in coverage. The bulk of the moisture that would feed these storms looks like it will get swallowed up by some storms across the deep south. Yes, we'll see rain and some storms, but not like the folks down there.
I'll follow this weekend chill a little more closely over the next few days and try to stay a head of what comes next!

That's the lingo they use... lol... Many celebrities are doing it and updating quite often! No... I am not talking about legendary news anchor Steve Hensley, but he will have his up and running very soon!
