Knox man charged in attempted kidnapping of his granddaughter
Updated: 6:25 PM - A southern Kentucky grandfather is speaking out, about the charges he faces from jail that accuse him of trying to kidnap his granddaughter.
I have talked about a front coming our way since last week. Now, here it is set to move into Kentucky and take the warm out of the air and replace it with seasonable. Sure seasonable isn't that bad, but when Mother Nature brings a day like Tuesday to your area it is hard to go backwards. This is nothing out of the ordinary though.
I have growing concerns about quite a bit of water. Not only are we going to get hit with the front... but another wave of low pressure will track out of the south and bring more moisture to the region. First, the front will most likely put 1" to 2" in the ground for some locations. Then the low tracks across Tennessee and spreads the moisture north into eastern Kentucky. That could push some totals into the 2" plus area. This all happens between Wednesday & Friday.

This is how the GFS has it playing out. I mentioned in my last post that most moisture and severe weather would remain to our south. Now you see what I am talking about with the large swath of 5"+ rainfall totals!

The WRF even has more of the 2"+ trying to work into Kentucky.

The HPC's QPF is a little different! The Purple is the 1.75 and the shades of blue are the 1.25-1.50. Still everything looks similar with rainfall amounts across the deep south and right here in eastern Kentucky.
As for temps... highs will drop from 70+ down into the mid and upper 50s for a couple of days. Another complex system will make a run at Kentucky by this weekend... I'll highlight that in Wednesday's post!
