Eastern Kentucky Weather

Just A Little Cooler

Posted: Wed 10:45 PM, Mar 25, 2009

Most daytime highs got knocked down about 10-15 degrees. That all came with the showers and the thick cloud cover that moved into the region on Wednesday.

The driving force behind the change was a cold front. It is stage one of the wet ride we are about to go on this week. A bigger slug of moisture will be on the move this Thursday.

After our Wednesday front moved across Kentucky it will lay a track for another wave of low pressure to bring rain into Kentucky. That keeps this weather pattern on the wet side. This wave could bring totals up near 1.5"-2" of rainfall. Even with all of this rain in the region... it appears that we will stay on the seasonable side for daytime highs. Temps should run anywhere from 55-60 degrees here in eastern Kentucky.

This weekend another round of showers could be here. It is looking more and more like some strong storms could be associated with our Saturday mess!

I'll have more details on Thursday!
