Suspect named in Lexington murder
26 mins ago - Lexington Police investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect in the shooting of a teen shot and killed Wednesday night.
The severe weather has really weakened for parts of Kentucky. Those stronger storms have greatly diminished and it just looks as if we'll see some breezy showers pass by overnight.
On Friday, temps will fall back to near normal highs. Mid and upper 50s will show up again. Remember, this really isn't that cool! It actually feels pretty good if you find yourself in the sunshine. All we need is a little sunshine and it should feel and look like a great day on Friday. The catch will be getting rid of the left over cloud cover from this latest round of showers and storms.
Sunday will be my next day to focus on a little harder! Again, we could find ourselves facing possible strong or severe storms! The right ingredients aren't there yet... but it will be something to watch!
I hinted at a different weather note that would only be read here first. The deal is... I am changing my daytime high forecast from 40s to 30s. The late evening runs have pushed me into that side. I told you I would make a final call on that by Friday. The first time this will hit the air will be in the morning after one more run. I really don't care what that run has... I am going with the cold! It will be my last chance for the week to explain it on the air! So Beginning Friday morning.. during Mountain News This Morning... You'll see that then!
When this cold air arrives I really think that it catches up with some moisture! That could mean some flakes could fly! The GFS is trying to paint accumulation into the region! I'll have to wait a little while longer before I ever go out on that limb!
