Kentuckians look to help OK storm victims
Posted: 7:35 AM - Many Kentuckians are looking for ways to help those storm victims and their families.
A very potent area of low pressure with a trailing cold front will move across Kentucky and bring those storms to our region! This is the same system that will bring temps down by several degrees. Highs will only be in the 30s very soon and numerous chances for snow!
Severe Weather
The strong storms could produce winds the could reach speeds near 70mph in general!
Large hail near 1" in diameter.
A lot of dangerous lightning.
You can track storms on your computer with a new weather tool we have here on our webchannel http://www.wkyt.com/imap this is a really cool feature that I have been using some at home!
Wintry Weather
Wintry weather moves into the region later on in the day. Temps will be warmer early on Monday morning than we'll see that afternoon! This will be the timeframe for the wintry stuff!
The wintry weather sticks tough through most of the week!
I'll have more on that later! For now we'll monitor the severe weather!
