Apartment complex fire shuts down road in Knott County
34 mins ago - Firefighters are currently on the scene of a fire at a Knott County apartment complex off of Highway 160.
It will be the clouds and light rain on Wednesday that keeps all of our spirits down again. Tuesday was one of those nasty looking and nasty feeling days. I think Wednesday has the same potential!
A mid-level disturbance is working through the region and that will keep these clouds and showers in our area. As soon as it finally begins to move east of the commonwealth... we'll see daytime highs begin to climb. That is why the end of this week is looking so promising! At that point... the disturbance will be gone and the sun will be out in full force to warm everything back up again!
Thursday appears to be on the fringe! Highs climb back into the mid 60s for most of us, but I wouldn't be surprised to see highs climb into the low 70s in southern KY.
Friday & Saturday will both include highs in the low 70s for everyone! The only real difference between the two right now will be the possible arrival of showers late in the day Saturday. Which will also mean that more clouds will begin occupying the skies that afternoon and into the evening hours.
Reminder time!!!!!
Friday we will be in Pikeville with the 1st installment of Guest Weather 2009. This year we have made some new changes with our map. It looks really cool! You'll have to come by and see us at Hillbilly Days!
That same afternoon... a few of us will be racing outhouses! Don't ask because all I know is that it will be a blast!
Sunday I am in Corbin with the Harlem Globetrotters. I'll be playing against them as a General. I am sure I won't see a lot of playing time, but I'll be there and it should be fun!
