Apartment complex fire shuts down road in Knott County
8 mins ago - Firefighters are currently on the scene of a fire at a Knott County apartment complex off of Highway 160.
I know many of you have probably found yourselves outside and living it up with the warm/sunny stuff. It has been wonderful, but we need to hit the brakes and allow for some rain to come rolling our way. Which will be the case this week. Nearly every single day in my 7-Day Forecast includes a chance of rain.
Most storm systems have taken one look at Kentucky here lately and ran off towards the north. That area in the atmosphere that has provided a block for us is finally giving in and opening up. Then a series of systems will have a road paved right over Kentucky. So every system will bring rain chances to all of us each day. This will mean several chances for showers and some storms will begin again on Tuesday. It's not going to rain all day everyday, but there will be plenty of chances come of this.
The unsettled weather will continue until Saturday afternoon. Or will it?!?!?! That's one of the "iffier" days I have in my forecast. That also happens to be Derby Day. However, I think the Derby will be dry... the days and hours leading up to it will not be so dry.
Temperatures will stay at a comfortable level with highs in the 60s and 70s.
