Party ends with woman robbed at gunpoint inside Lexington home
10 mins ago - Police say a late night party came to abrupt ending when a woman was robbed at gunpoint.
The scattering of the showers and thunderstorms will once again be present in eastern Kentucky on Friday. These showers and storms will be with us for far longer than just Friday. I think this will remain a common occurance this weekend too!
The big issue with Friday is that I think it will be the day with the best coverage of rain! There will likely probably be some breaks in the action. This will allow for some sunshine to come filtering in, but overall I am thinking that we stay mainly cloudy throughout the day! If you have plans outside on Friday evening... ouch... if it isn't raining it will be wet!
On Saturday... the front will push through Kentucky! This has been the trigger for the showers we have seen so far... well ... part of the trigger! There have been some mid-level pieces of energy that have also rolled along the front that have kept rain alive in Kentucky. It won't rain all day long, but there will be some decent chances for the rain to stay alive for most of the day.
What if Louisville, KY is a place on your destination list?!?! I have heard others saying that there will be a "window" possible for the Kentucky Derby. I am not sure about a window... maybe a keyhole! As the front presses through... it will quickly be follwed by more energy causing the front to check back up. When that happens... more rain comes our way. Timing will be crucial! Honestly, does it really matter? It will be raining all day anyway so what's a little more rain going to hurt at that point?!?!
I have never claimed to be a horse expert and I won't start now... unlike others I know.... anyway
My pick for the Derby is Hold Me Back. Don't ask me why! I've go a feeling. This horse isn't a favorite, but it is in my heart!
