Mother Nature Turns Up The Heat

Posted: Mon 10:33 PM, Jun 22, 2009

Everyone say a big hey, hi, and hello to SUMMER! This Monday was the first full day of summer.

It could have been a much hotter start to summer here in east KY. Out west... those folks were dealing with highs in the 90s and heat indices in the triple digits.

A warm front will surge toward the north and this will allow the juicy air to roll all across Kentucky. Then high pressure will run the show over the next several days. It will nearly act as a wall or a barrier and keep any major storm systems away for a few days! This keeps us extremely hot though!

Showers & storms will become widely scattered around the region by the end of the week.

I'll have more on Tuesday!

C-Ya Bye
