Eastern Kentucky Weather

A Cooler Run

Posted: Mon 10:32 PM, Jun 29, 2009

After days of feeling the heat & humidity around here we are finally getting a break!

This nice run of weather will last for most of the work week. It truly won't be nice from top to bottom... we are just getting relief from the heat and humidity. The chances for showers & storms will be around here for the next few days.

An area of low pressure is sitting right over the Great Lakes region right now! It will stay in that general area for the next few days! Scattered showers & storms will be possible as the low rotates energy towards us in Kentucky. Don't be intimidated by the showers & storms. These will likely be more on the widely scattered side and shouldn't be a big issue.

The temps will be held down by the cooler northwest winds. Daytime highs will hover around 80 degrees until late in the week.
