US gas prices up 11 cents over past 2 weeks

Just as I mentioned in my post from Tuesday the timing of the clouds and rain means everything. Those clouds got here pretty early and kept temps held down into the 70s in many locations. My official forecast for today called for highs around 78. At the NWS Jackson the high was 77 degrees... the high at London hit 74 and in Somerset only got up to 72. The clouds and rain didn't allow temps in southern Kentucky to get very high.
Thursday's set-up should be different with scattered showers & storms being in the area. In between the showers we should see some peaks of sunshine and this will allow highs to climb into the lows 80s at the very least. However, showers & storms could keep some of those temps down some. It will all depend on location! The odds look good for us to see the highs in the low 80s though.
I am still leaning toward a partially summer like Saturday. There is more indication that highs will appraoch 90. I don't think that we'll shoot above the 90 degree mark, but we I think we could get close. This little run with summer will be brief! Later in the weekend those old familiar cool summer highs will come rolling back into Kentucky.
