Bridge worker dead in accident
14 mins ago - A coroner says a worker helping crews prepare to paint the Glover H. Cary Bridge in Owensboro has died.
There is an area of low pressure the is sitting to our southwest. This low is bringing some much needed rainfall to Texas and will soon bring some cloud cover and showers back to Kentucky. Once this moisture starts working back into Kentucky I am thinking it sticks with us through the first part of our weekend at the very least. So this low throwing moisture towards us will be our main weather story through the week. It will be generating all the buzz.
There are some cool things happening north of Kentucky too. I'm not talking about the hip use of the word cool.. I mean literally some cool things coming very close to our region. What does this mean? I am seeing the cold air beginning to gather closer and closer to the U.S. - Canadian border. Some of it spills over during this coming week. No so much into Kentucky but to some of our northern states. We are knocking on fall's door and the cooler air is ready to march right into the south.
Temps for us stay pretty comy this week... highs in the mid 70s to right around 80 degrees. So nothing major just yet!
