A Winter Weather Advisory For Some

The system is getting cranked up and is on the way. I think most of us will see some snow, but the higher elevations could see the most accumulation.

Here we are... knocking on the door of our first decent snowfall. It all depends on where the low travels and how much moisture that this system can send our way. Will it be enough or too little? I have my own answers to all of these questions.

The moisture will begin arriving after midnight. The first batch will be the leader and basically moisten up the atmosphere. Then the large area of moisture will invade and that will be the critical time for this snowfall to pan out. If it sticks in the area for a long enough period of time we could see the totals reach 4" in the highest elevations. Just check my forecast out below for what I am thinkning.

That image pretty much sums up everything. Now get ready for some much colder temps around the area. Sunday morning may be one of the coldest we have seen in a while. Temps might dip into the low 20s.

I'll have another update later. Right now we have the general info covered. I tackle other forecast issues once this system gets out of town.
