One More Afternoon

The showers are going to wrap-up soon. It looks like the rain will end during the afternoon on Friday.

There was some decent action showing up on the LIVE PinPoint Doppler on Thursday afternoon. Strong storms developed out in western Kentucky and drifted into a few of our counties. A few more showers will likely pass through on Friday and finally end during the afternoon hours.

WRF Friday Afternoon                                               GFS Friday Afternoon

The last remaining showers show up here. Notice both now agree that the coverage of the rain is calming down, The moisture is slowly on the way out by the afternoon.

The winds are going to be picking up on Saturday and Sunday. The source region for our airmas will be the Gulf of Mexico. I am expecting a nice and sunny day. The only major issue that you will run into is the winds will be picking up

I'll updater again later!

C-Ya Bye

Jim, I just looked at the GFS and NAM models for the thurs-fri system and they are projecting a swath of snow ranging from 8-14 inches of snow! SE KY being favored for the higher end of the totals. What do you think?

Jim, I looked at some models this afternoon, and they are showing some heavy snow being here by thursday. It is something to look at, and the upslope snowfall from this low pressure system that is affecting us now doesnt look too impressive, but could lay some on the ground. give us your take on things.
