Former TWA Flight 800 investigators want new probe

The first system of the week is clearing the area. Most of Thursday and all of Friday are looking fine to me. The only issue with Thursday will be the absolute final flakes of this past system. Once they are out... everything looks fine for a little while.
The next one will be here by Saturday and will probably bring at least some snow, sleet, freezing rain or rain. The final destination for the set-up is still one of those issues we'll watch. At this point I don't see this first round of the weekend being the main problem. Big brother, following closely behind, will be the problem.
NAM Sat PM Canadian Sat PM GFS Sat PM

The only thing one can say about the three together is that they all disagree. The GEM has been pretty consistent. While each run with the GFS has made this system look weaker and weaker. It started out looking moisture rich, but now it is moisture starved! I still think this will be a rather inconvenient for anyone with travels plans on Saturday.
Big Brother arrives on Sunday night and depending on which data set you court during the early goings... it could be a milder system with rain and a wintry mix or a pretty solid shield of snow. Either way it looks like a wet period for us... again!

GFS Mon Afternoon GFS Mon Evening GFS V. Early Tues

If one just went by what you see above you would be tempted to say this event will be all rain in the beginning and some snow in the end. What this isn't picking up on is the the cold air that will be blasting in from the north. That cold air will adjust this track and bring it farther south and that will mean snow is possible!
Let's keep in mind that this one has all kinds of potential and it will be fun to watch! More details coming as the system grows!
