I don't mean to start raining on your parade during the middle of a sunny and warm streak, but this will be ending soon and we need to get ready to be wet. But first this from Macho Man Randy Savage.
Just keeping the random things coming so you will keep coming back! LOL
Our forecast will begin to change Tuesday afternoon... that's when the clouds should begin rolling into the area. This will all be associated with the next round of wet weather for our region.
What I am about to show you is something that I promise I won't do often since it is very confusing... not only for you.... but I have to put my eyes right up to the screen in order to see everything I need to see. This image is from spots higher above our heads and it shows the atmosphere over us. One of the key points I am looking at here is the concentration of moisture over KY Tuesday afternoon. The larger the value... the higher lliklihood that we'll have clouds in our area. This even helps predict precip areas as well. This is just one of things I use in order to predict the weather.
Now that is a mess isn't it? LOL Those blue areas are spots of higher relative humidity. The shades of green begin the areas of where cloud cover will be more likely. The yellow and browns are dry areas. As you see in the image above... clouds will be right here with us by the afternoon.
Just something I wanted to show you so you could see one of the ways we watch clouds! This is used for other things, but right now I am using it for that.
Once the rain starts this week I think it will be hard to catch a solid 24 hour break. I feel pretty confident that we'll see some long breaks in between showers in different areas across KY, but not an all day break! That's why I have kept my rain chances alive throughout my entire forecast. This is lare Tuesday evening.
The leading edge of the moisture begins creeping into KY. What we are looking at now is the surface map. All of those green areas and blue areas indicate where the precip will likely be located at by Tuesday evening. This image represents our first chances of rain!
This image shows that the same system is still running the weather show by Monday!
A lot can happen and this system may get pushed out of town long before this point. We'll watch and see if this low stays or goes!
All rain by the way... not snow!
